Currently serving as the Undersecretary and Senior Private Secretary to the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports in the Government of Uganda, Irene has spent 28 years making impactful contributions to the government sector. Her previous tenure of 14 years with the Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control is a testament to her commitment to excellence, integrity, and professional ethics. Irene’s zeal for service extends beyond government as an Associate Consultant at the Uganda Management Institute, where she helps shape future leaders.
A certified John Maxwell speaker and coach, Irene is deeply passionate about leadership transformation on the African continent and beyond. She serves on the Apostolic Team of INUKA AFRIKA, a ministry raising a generation of transformational leaders across Africa, and serves as the Uganda Lead for the Mantle of Deborah, an Apostolic and Prophetic vision empowering women to influence business, governance, family, and ministry. She is actively involved in key leadership initiatives with institutions like the Destiny Leadership School, Haggai Leadership Institute in Hawaii, and the Institute for National Transformation.
Irene’s impact extends to the grassroots level through her involvement with Neyendeire Women’s Group and NGOs dedicated to fostering individual and organizational excellence. Her leadership consultancy, Hill City Consult, equips individuals and organizations with the tools to thrive in purpose-driven excellence. She is also an alumna of numerous prestigious leadership programs, including the Sundoulos Africa Leadership Training, which have enriched her deep understanding of governance, transformation, and leadership.
